"Fundraising to transport supplies and donating for priority needs for people in the camp in Calais.

Calais Refugee Solidarity Bristol are a group based in Bristol who aim to offer practical help and support to people living in the camp in Calais. And to deliver essential supplies and donate cash or bulk buy priority items needed in the camp.

The situation in Calais is part of a wider migration crisis in Europe and world wide - partly caused largely by the displacement of people from war-torn countries such as Syria, Afghanistan, and Eritrea, and across North Africa. Worldwide 59.5 million people are displaced, more than since WWII.

The charities working in the camp that we liaise with are Association Salam, L'Auberge Des Migrants, Secours Catholique Calais, Calais Ouverture et Humanité and we will also respond to needs for medical supplies as needed by Doctors of the World UK. We will also liaise with community and cultural organisations and businesses to build links and gather support for people living in the camp at Calais.

And we will also lobby, campaign and organise solidarity actions in the name of justice for refugees and link with regional groups.
